He Is Risen!

After our 40 days of Lenten reflection and self-examination, (See our Lenten story on this link) we are celebrating again that Christ Is Risen! Easter begins on Sunday April 12th with shouts of "He Is Risen" and responses of "He Is Risen Indeed".  Alleluias, eliminated since Ash Wednesday, ring out again from the choir and congregation. This is the Holy Day of all Holy Days. The cross and grave are empty, Christ has overcome death and the grave. This is why God first allowed his Son to be born of Man. Only as a man, could Jesus be put to death so that he could overcome. In our belief of this blessed event, it means that he died for us, so that we too can overcome death and live eternally with God.  Our celebration lasts for seven weeks.  Enjoy the photos.
