The Rev. William Jenkins Gohl Jr. comes to us after having served for approximately seven years as Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church in Glen Burnie. He also serves as Coordinator for Evangelism for the Delaware-Maryland Synod.

Pastor Gohl hails from Long Island where is parents and family still make their home. He earned his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College, majoring in Comparative Religion and English Bible as well as studies in Marketing, Communications and Women's Studies. he received his Masters of Divinity degree, with honors in Preaching, from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. While in seminary, Pr. Gohl studied in the Washington Theological Consortium and took classes at The Catholic University of America, the Washington Theological Union, Howard University School of Divinity and Wesley Theological Seminary. He is currently a doctoral student at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, studying Urban Ministry Leadership.

The average age of the parish membership has dropped from the mid-50s to the low 30s.
